Christopher Loren Ewers is a cinematographer and filmmaker. His diverse career has lead him to shoot for network clients like NBC and PBS, for Fortune 500 brands like Apple, Coca-Cola, Vineyard Vines and IBM and for non-profit organizations like The Walden Woods Project and The American Academy of Arts and Sciences. In addition, he regularly collaborates with Ken Burns and the Oscar nominated and Emmy Award winning filmmakers at Florentine Films on a wide variety of documentary projects, both feature length and short form. Chris has over 10-years experience collaborating with numerous creative agencies, global and local and is fluent in all digital medias for both motion picture and still storytelling.
He studied cinematography at Boston University, photojournalism at the New England School of Photography and has traveled the world exploring the human experience through the lens. He and his Emmy Award winning brother, Erik are the creative team behind Ewers Brothers Productions, and are currently in production on a feature-length documentary film for PBS, Executive Produced by Ken Burns. In addition, Ewers Brothers produces short-form documentaries, biographies and reportage-style commercial work for public and private clients alike.
Chris lives in Conneticut with his wife Christy, their daughter Billie, son Finnegan and their four-legged 9-year-old Gertie.
